Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 Hits Shelves for $1300

Asus has officially opened retail sales for the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 handheld console. Previously available only as part of an expensive bundle with Xreal glasses, the device is now available for individual purchase.

Display and Visual Upgrades

A key feature of the ROG Xbox Ally X20 is its OLED-based screen. Compared to the classic IPS panel, this display offers a larger diagonal and infinite contrast, which drastically changes the gaming experience in dark scenes.

In addition to the screen, Asus notes minor structural refinements. Specifically, ergonomics and cooling elements have been optimized. These engineering changes are targeted, meaning this model is not a full generational leap, but rather an improved iteration.

Under the hood, the console runs on the same platform as the base high-end models in the series. The hardware is ready for modern demands:

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 represents more of a premium version of the existing console than a full new generation.
