Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S27: new details about the cameras of the Pro and Ultra models

New details about the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy S27 series

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 line, which includes four models codenamed NM1 to NM4, is gradually revealing its technical secrets. Insiders have confirmed that the series will receive significant sensor upgrades that should make the devices stand out in the 2027 smartphone market.

Galaxy S27 and S27+ camera specifications

The base Galaxy S27 (NM1) and S27+ (NM2) models are tested with Sony’s new 50-megapixel main sensor. This update is designed to improve shooting quality in the standard segment of the line.

Features of cameras Pro and Ultra versions

The Galaxy S27 Pro (NM3) and Galaxy S27 Ultra (NM4) are confirmed to use a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX855 sensor (1/2.55-inch optical format). The main difference between the top models is the zoom lens configuration: while the Pro version is limited to one telephoto lens, the Ultra model comes with two, maintaining an advantage for professional mobile photography.

Front camera and functional differences

All devices in the series are equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. It is reported that the S27 Pro version may additionally receive optical stabilization (OIS) for the front module. The key design difference between the flagships will remain the presence of the S Pen in the Ultra model, which the Pro version still lacks.

Release date

The entire Samsung Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to go on sale in early 2027. At the moment, the series is at the stage of active preparation, and the model codes (NM1–NM4) indicate a new technological revolution (“Next Miracle”) that the company is preparing.
