Raspberry Pi introduced the 10-inch Touch Display 2 for interactive projects
24.07.26
The Raspberry Pi company continues to expand the ecosystem of its own accessories for single-board computers. This time, the manufacturer announced a 10-inch version of Touch Display 2 – the largest proprietary touch screen in its line. The novelty is designed for developers, enthusiasts and companies that create interactive devices, digital panels, terminals self-service and automation systems based on Raspberry Pi.
Increased diagonal and new compatibility restrictions
If the previous Raspberry Pi branded displays supported almost all current boards of the company, with the exception of the Raspberry Pi Zero family, then the new model is focused exclusively on modern devices. The 10-inch Touch Display 2 can only be used with Raspberry Pi 5 and Compute Modules, while owners of older boards will have to opt for younger versions of the screen.
The main novelty was an IPS TFT panel with a resolution of 1200×1920 pixels. The manufacturer claims support for 24-bit color transfer and a capacitive touch layer capable of simultaneously recognizing up to ten touches. Thanks to this, the screen is suitable not only for simple control interfaces, but also for full-fledged multi-touch applications.
Made for DIY projects, business and automation

Raspberry Pi positions Touch Display 2 as a universal solution for various usage scenarios. It can be used in the creation of home information panels, multimedia centers, smart home management systems, interactive kiosks, POS terminals, industrial interfaces and educational projects.
At the same time, the developers tried to simplify the installation process as much as possible. Only two connections are required for the connection: the DSI interface is responsible for the image transmission, and the power is supplied via the GPIO pins. This approach allows you to abandon additional controllers and a large number of cables.
Everything you need is already included in the kit
Along with the display, the user receives a set of accessories necessary for quick start-up of the device. The box includes a power cable, a DSI cable, and a set of eight M2.5 mounting screws for mounting the panel.
Release date and price
The screen has already gone on sale at a price of $80 and has become the third representative of the Touch Display 2 series after models with a diagonal of 5 and 7 inches.
With the release of the 10-inch version, Raspberry Pi finally formed a line of proprietary touch screens, offering developers three diagonal options. Now users can choose a screen depending on the scale of the project, without resorting to third-party solutions.
