Qualcomm Arduino Ventuno Q – single-board computer for robotics and AI systems
13.03.26
Qualcomm has announced a new Arduino Ventuno Q single-board system aimed at robotics development. The platform combines a high-performance processor and a microcontroller for low-latency tasks.
The board combines the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 chip and the STM32H5 microcontroller, and is also equipped with 16 GB of RAM.
Architecture for robotics and Edge-AI
Ventuno Q is positioned as a platform for systems that interact with the physical environment: robots, autonomous devices, and sensor complexes.
The STM32H5 microcontroller is responsible for deterministic control and execution of tasks with minimal latency – such as motor control and sensor signal processing. The main processor performs resource-intensive calculations related to artificial intelligence.
The Dragonwing IQ8 uses an eight-core ARM Cortex processor, an Adreno graphics accelerator and a Hexagon Tensor NPU neural processor. The performance of the AI unit reaches 40 TOPS.
Memory, interfaces and expansion capabilities
The board is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a built-in eMMC storage of 64 GB. For storage expansion, an M.2 slot with NVMe Gen4 support is provided.
Interfaces include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet with speeds up to 2.5 Gbps. USB cameras and other peripherals used in computer vision systems are also supported.
Local AI models and development tools
The kit includes language and multimodal models, speech recognition systems, object tracking, human pose detection, and gesture recognition.
According to the developers, the board is designed for use in autonomous systems, for example, in traffic analysis systems, medical assistants or computer vision projects.
Release dates and price
Sales of the Arduino Ventuno Q are planned to begin in the second quarter of 2026 through the official Arduino store and partner channels.
The expected cost of the Qualcomm Arduino Ventuno Q device will be up to $300.
