Titan Quest II Update 0.7.0 : Spirit Mastery and Overhauled Crafting

Large-scale update for Titan Quest II: new Spirit school and overhauled crafting

Studio Grimlore Games has released the 0.7.0 global update for the action RPG Titan Quest II, continuing the active development of the project within Early Access.

Spirit Mastery

The primary content addition in this patch is the introduction of the Spirit Mastery skill tree. Players can now specialize in forces from the realm of the dead. This class provides access to:

  • Summoning spiritual allies for combat assistance.
  • Manipulating enemies using shadow magic.
  • Ten unique active skills.
  • 26 passive effects for build progression.

Just like in previous entries in the series, the “Spirit” mastery can be freely combined with any other school, opening up vast possibilities for experimenting with hybrid builds.

Crafting System: A New Approach to Gear

The developers have implemented a radically overhauled item crafting system. Unlike the original 2005 game, where crafting was limited to artifacts and basic equipment enhancements, the system in the sequel has become significantly deeper.

Players can now:

  • Directly modify the stats of found gear.
  • Add affixes to items.
  • Customize equipment for current character builds using specific ingredients and “recipes.”

These changes make collecting high-quality gear a more flexible and intuitive process.

Optimization and Gameplay Improvements

In addition to new mechanics, the developers have implemented several technical adjustments aimed at increasing combat fluidity. The most significant change is the increased character movement speed, which positively impacts the overall feel of the gameplay and simplifies travel between locations. A detailed list of changes is available in the official patch notes on Steam.

Update 0.7.0 stands as one of the most significant milestones in the development of Titan Quest II during Early Access. The new Spirit school expands hybrid build potential, while the overhauled crafting makes gear progression more flexible. For fans of the genre, this is a great time to jump back into the game and see how much the project has advanced based on community feedback.
