Oura Ring 5 is Coming: First Details on Design and Features

Oura is preparing to launch a new version of its smart rings — the Oura Ring 5. Details are already available about the device’s design and its charging case, as well as the color options that will be offered to users. The new ring will come in six shades: glossy black, silver, and gold, matte black, silver with a satin finish, and a new “Deep Rose” color to replace the previous rose gold.

Design and Construction

The ring has undergone minor but noticeable changes: its shape is more rounded, and the transition to the inner synthetic resin is smoother and more refined. Inside the casing, several electrical and optical sensors are installed. Compared to the Oura Ring 4, the optical sensors are larger, allowing the heart rate and SpO2 sensors to capture more accurate readings thanks to additional red and green LEDs.

Charging Accessories

Along with the ring itself, users will receive a home charging station and a portable case for on-the-go charging. The design of these accessories has hardly changed, maintaining the familiar look and functionality.

The release of the Oura Ring 5 is expected in the second half of 2027, and it is already possible to imagine what the new generation of smart rings will look like and what improvements the sensors and accessories will feature.
