Motorola Razr Fold: official release date announced

Motorola’s first foldable smartphone in a “book” format has finally received an official release date.

Release date and markets

Motorola confirmed that its new foldable Razr Fold will go on sale in Europe on April 11. Exact availability dates for North America, India, and Asia have not yet been disclosed. In Europe, the base price is €1999, while in the UK the version with 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM will cost £1800.

Battery and performance

The smartphone is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery, supporting wireless charging up to 50 W and wired charging up to 80 W. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, featuring a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.1-inch internal display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2484×2232 pixel resolution.

Display and protection

The screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and IP49 certification, making the device resistant to damage and water.

Cameras

The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor (Sony LYT-828), a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50 MP telephoto lens (LYT-600) with 3x zoom, a 20 MP front camera, and a 32 MP internal camera for selfies and video calls.
