iOS 27 beta 2 review: new Write with Siri feature and support for inline responses in RCS

Apple is actively refining its latest mobile operating system: iOS 27 beta 2 is already available to developers. This update expands on the capabilities previously introduced at WWDC, adding deep AI integration and improved communication protocols.

What’s new in iOS 27 beta 2

The key innovation of the second beta was the “Write with Siri” tool. This feature replaces the standard Writing Tools and now works directly through Siri. The new utility is deeply integrated into the system, allowing AI to analyze data from mail, notes and other applications to help you write or correct text right on the keyboard.

Improved RCS messages

Messenger users will appreciate the progress in the RCS standard. iOS now correctly handles emoji tapbacks and supports inline replies. This makes communication with Android device owners through the Messages app more natural and complete.

New features in the Apple Wallet app

The Spending Insights section in Apple Wallet has received an update. Although the tool itself was introduced in the first beta version, in the second beta version its geographical availability for users was significantly expanded.

Corrections and expectations

In addition to major features, the update addresses a number of technical issues. For example, beta 2 fixed a firmware bug for AirPods Max 2 that occurred in the first build. The Home app now once again supports remote software updates for Apple TV 4K.

Is it worth installing the beta version

At this stage, iOS 27 beta 2 is intended exclusively for testing by developers. The company does not recommend using the current build on mainstream smartphones due to possible bugs. The public beta version is expected to become available later, and the stable release will take place in September along with the release of the iPhone 18 Pro.
