IDC: Apple is no longer lead smartphone market, Samsung the first again

According to IDC, Apple smartphone shipments fell by about 10% in the first quarter of 2024 due to increased competition from other manufacturers. As a result, Samsung again took first place in the smartphone market after a quarter of leading Cupertino with the iPhone.
Samsung has taken a larger piece of the pie and now has 20.8% of the market, once again ranking first among all phone manufacturers. In just a few months, the South Korean company managed to ship more than 60 million smartphones.
Apple with a market share of 17.3%.
Global smartphone shipments rose 7.8% to 289.4 million units during January-March.
