Honor X70 Pro Max debuts with record battery and durable body

The Honor company introduced the Honor X70 Pro Max smartphone, which has already appeared on the Chinese market. It is noteworthy that the device was announced shortly before the expected presentation of the Honor X80 Pro Max series, which looks like an unusual step for the manufacturer. Despite belonging to the middle price segment, the novelty received a number of characteristics that are usually found in more expensive models, including a battery of increased capacity, a display with extremely high brightness and increased protection of the case.

Screen with a frequency of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 6000 nits

Honor X70 Pro Max is equipped with a 6.79-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2640×1200 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which ensures smoother operation of the interface, as well as comfortable video viewing and mobile gaming.

One of the most notable features of the display was the claimed peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Such indicators are increasingly found in flagship devices and are primarily designed to improve image reading in bright sunlight. Thanks to this, the screen should remain visible even outside in sunny weather.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and up to 512 GB of memory

The hardware basis of the smartphone was the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor. The chip is aimed at mid-range devices and provides support for modern communication technologies, as well as sufficient performance for most everyday tasks.

Honor offers a smartphone with 8 GB of RAM. Two versions of the built-in storage are available to buyers – 256 and 512 GB. This volume allows you to store a large number of programs, photos, videos and other content without the need to use external media.

The smartphone runs MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16.

Cameras and additional features

On the back of the device there is a round large block of cameras. The main sensor received a resolution of 50 megapixels and a lens with an aperture of f/1.8. The company also provided an additional module, but its characteristics were not revealed at the time of the announcement.

For selfies and video communication, an 8-megapixel front camera is used, which is placed in the display hole.

Water, dust and drop protection

The manufacturer paid special attention to the strength of the device. Honor X70 Pro Max received several protection certificates at once – IP66, IP68 and IP69K. This means resistance to dust, water, and high-pressure water jets.

According to the company, the smartphone can withstand a fall from a height of up to 2.5 meters. In addition, the system implements the function of removing moisture and dust from the case. It can be activated by a voice command and is designed to clean the speakers and other elements of the device after contact with water.

One of the most capacious batteries in its class

The main feature of the novelty was the battery with a capacity of 8560 mAh. This indicator significantly exceeds the standard values of most modern smartphones, which usually use batteries of 5000-6000 mAh.

To fill the charge, support for wired charging with a power of 90 W is provided. This allows you to reduce the time of connecting to the network even with such a large battery.

In addition, the smartphone received stereo speakers, an NFC module for contactless payments, an infrared port for controlling household appliances, Bluetooth 5.2 and a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. The manufacturer also reports on the updated design of the Wi-Fi antennas, which should provide a more stable connection in weak signal conditions and in open areas.

Price

The Honor X70 Pro Max is now available for purchase in China. The device is offered in black, green, gold and purple colors.

The 256GB version is priced at RMB 1,999, which is roughly US$295. The modification with 512 GB of built-in memory costs 2399 yuan or about $354. The company has not yet published information about the international launch of the smartphone.
