HMD Arc 2: budget smartphone with 3.5 mm jack for $68

HMD has announced an affordable entry-level smartphone, the HMD Arc 2. The new product is an updated version of the original HMD Arc model, released in December 2024, and offers a basic set of features for everyday use.

Technical characteristics and capabilities

The smartphone has a 6.52-inch IPS matrix with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The hardware basis of the device was the Unisoc T603 chipset – the same solution was used in the Redmi A3x (a budget smartphone, not currently available). For shooting, there is a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP selfie camera.

Autonomous operation is provided by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 10 W charging via USB-C. The smartphone runs Android 14 Go Edition, which is the best choice for such hardware.
