Haylou Watch Hyper: advanced GPS and opting out of sleep tracking

The Haylou brand decided to go beyond the usual budget fitness trackers by introducing the Watch Hyper model. The watch received premium technologies, usually characteristic of expensive sports accessories, although it was not without specific design and functional compromises.

Screen and design

The device is equipped with a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with adaptive brightness – a rare and useful feature for the budget watch segment. The display provides excellent readability in the sun, which is extremely important for outdoor training. The watch is offered in black and silver and has a discreet, versatile design.

Navigation and Performance

The key feature of Haylou Watch Hyper is support for dual-band GPS (L1+L5). This allows you to accurately track routes in dense urban areas or forests.

Functionality includes support for offline navigation with the ability to download routes and integration with Strava. These tools make the watch a suitable solution for runners and cyclists.

Opportunities for health and sports

The watch has 170 sports modes, and 5 ATM water resistance allows you to train in the pool. Sensors monitor heart rate, blood oxygen level (SpO2) and stress. However, the main disadvantage of the model was the complete lack of sleep tracking — an unexpected decision that contradicts the standards of the modern market.

Autonomy

The battery capacity of 390 mAh is enough for 18 days of standard use. It is important to understand that when the dual-band GPS is turned on, the operating time is reduced to 24 hours. The watch is now available in retail stores.

Technical parameters

Battery 390 mAh
Autonomy (standard) Up to 18 days
Autonomy (GPS) 24 hours

Price

Haylou Watch Hyper is a choice for those who value GPS accuracy and a large, high-quality display on a budget. The price of such a miracle of technology is only UAH 3,800 ($85). If you’re looking for a tool for intense training and don’t mind the lack of sleep monitoring features, this watch is perfect
