ZTE has officially announced the global release of Nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition. The device, first presented as a concept at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, is now coming to market with important improvements for mobile gamers.
What is Nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition
The main difference between the special version and the basic model is the advanced AquaCore cooling system. This is a first-in-class architecture that combines liquid cooling (using server-grade coolant) and active airflow via a built-in fan. The standard model, however, relies on a more classic cooler design.
Smartphone characteristics
The smartphone is based on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. The RAM capacity is 12 GB, and the internal storage is available in 256 GB or 512 GB configurations.
- Screen: 6.8-inch AMOLED, 1.5K resolution (2720 x 1224 pixels), 144 Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness.
- Battery: 6,210 mAh with 80W wired charging support (no wireless charging support).
- Camera: main 50 MP and additional sensor 2 MP, front – 16 MP.
- Software: Android 16 with MyOS 16 shell. The manufacturer guarantees 5 years of support for software updates.
Features and additional functions
The device is aimed at maximum gaming performance. Among the key features it is worth highlighting:
- Dedicated gaming triggers with 550 Hz polling rate (Neo 5.0).
- RGB fan lighting.
- AI assistant Copilot Demi 2.0.
- Stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra technology.
- In-display fingerprint scanner.
Release date and price
Nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition will launch globally in July this year, starting in Southeast Asia. The model is available in “surge black” and “glacial silver” colors. There is currently no official information about the price.
Is it worth buying
The smartphone is suitable for users who need increased performance during long gaming sessions thanks to advanced AquaCore cooling. The use of 5 years of software updates also makes the model a promising purchase. It is worth considering that to use the maximum charging speed, you may need to purchase an additional 3-port Anker GaN charger with a power of 100 W, which is recommended by the manufacturer and which has price on Amazon is approximately 2,400 UAH ($59.99).
