Games on Steam will get Ultra configuration system requirements

Steam

In the “System Requirements” section for games on the Steam service there is now a new Ultra category. This category is added to the existing “Minimum” and “Recommended” requirements.

“Minimum” system requirements indicate the minimum configuration required to run the game, although high performance or graphical quality is not guaranteed.

The “recommended” requirements represent a configuration that provides comfortable gameplay.

However, the emergence of the “Ultra” category indicates that even the “Recommended” requirements do not always provide maximum image quality and performance.

This category is currently only available for some games, and Valve is just beginning to invite developers to fill it. However, you can already see that the differences between the requirements in the “Ultra” and “Recommended” categories are much more significant than between ” Recommended” and “Minimum”. For example, on the page for the free Portal with RTX add-on for the game Portal, you can already see the difference between these categories of requirements.
