Galaxy S26 Battery Test: Exynos 2600 Lags 28% Behind Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
30.03.26
A recent battery endurance test of the Galaxy S26 series has revealed a significant disparity between models powered by the Exynos 2600 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors. The results highlight a concerning efficiency gap for Samsung’s in-house silicon compared to the Qualcomm flagship.

Test Results and Real-World Endurance
According to trials conducted by the YouTube channel Android Addicts, the Snapdragon-equipped device lasted 9 hours and 26 minutes. In contrast, the Exynos 2600 variant powered down after just 6 hours and 48 minutes. This represents a deficit of 2 hours and 38 minutes, or approximately 28% less battery life.
Both smartphones were tested under identical conditions: Wi-Fi was disabled while 5G remained active. The test showed that during resource-intensive tasks, specifically video encoding, the Exynos 2600 version of the Galaxy S26 suffered from overheating, leading to rapid battery depletion.
