Bose Lifestyle Ultra: Spatial audio and a new level of home cinema

The BOSE company has officially announced its new line of home speakers – Lifestyle Collection. The series includes three key products: the compact Smart Lifestyle Ultra Speaker, the powerful Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and the powerful Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer. All novelties are integrated into the modern ecosystem of a smart home, supporting Google Cast and Apple AirPlay, which allows you to use them both separately and as part of a single multi-channel audio system for the whole house.

Review of the new Bose Lifestyle Ultra line

The Lifestyle Ultra line is aimed at users who seek premium sound in a compact design. The developers paid the main attention to versatility: the devices perfectly cope with the role of an audio system for listening to music in different rooms (multi-room), and with the creation of a full-fledged home cinema.

One of the main advantages of the series is its scalability. The buyer can start with one device and gradually complete the system. For example, two Ultra Speakers are easily combined into a stereo pair through the program. To create a full-fledged cinema, the soundbar can be equipped with a subwoofer and rear speakers, which allows you to expand the sound configuration to an impressive 7.1.4 format.

Characteristics and technical description

The central place in the series is occupied by technological innovations. Lifestyle Ultra Speaker is a smart speaker with a three-channel configuration. Inside are two front-facing speakers and one upward-facing driver. For ease of control, a touch panel with an innovative circular volume slider is provided.

BOSE has developed the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar for home cinema. This is a 5.2 format system equipped with six wide-range speakers. Two PhaseGuide drivers create directional sound, while the center tweeter focuses on speech clarity. The system is complemented by a Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer with QuietPort technology, which eliminates turbulent noise even at high volumes.

TrueSpatial technology is responsible for high-quality transmission of spatial effects. It analyzes ordinary content and mixes it in such a way as to engage the upper speakers, creating the effect of presence. The CustomTune calibration system automatically adjusts the acoustic parameters of the particular room, using built-in microphones to measure the echo. The intelligent AI-based SpeechClarity function automatically detects dialogues and makes them more intelligible against the background of loud special effects.

Release date of the Lifestyle Ultra series

According to official data, the start of sales of the entire Lifestyle Ultra line is scheduled for May 15. At the moment, pre-orders are already open on the BOSE official website. All components of the series – from a compact speaker to a flagship soundbar – will be available simultaneously for the global market.

Price of Bose Lifestyle Ultra devices

The price positioning of the Lifestyle Ultra series corresponds to the premium segment. The cost depends on the type of device and the chosen execution:

  • Smart column Lifestyle Ultra Speaker (black/white): UAH 11,960 ($299).
  • Lifestyle Ultra Speaker (limited beige version): UAH 13,960 ($349).
