Blackview Xplore 6: The Rugged Beast With a 12,000mAh Battery and 10x Optical Zoom

Blackview Xplore 6 is a new rugged smartphone that defies stereotypes about “indestructible” gadgets by offering features previously reserved for high-end camera phones. At IFA 2026, Blackview introduced the device, which comes equipped with an innovative teleconverter for high-quality zooming capabilities.

What Is the Blackview Xplore 6

The device stands out from the competition with its massive chassis: it measures 18.2 mm in thickness and weighs 428 grams. The model is built for extreme conditions, featuring MIL-STD-810H, IP68, and IP69K certification, with the screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The manufacturer guarantees drop resistance from heights of up to 2 meters.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip. Users get 18 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of either 512 GB or 1 TB. The 6.73-inch AMOLED screen boasts a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Design Features and Secondary Display

The back of the device houses a secondary 1.47-inch display with a resolution of 368 x 194 pixels. This screen serves as a panel for notifications, media control, and also allows the user to utilize the main camera for high-quality selfies.

Camera System and Teleconverter

A key highlight of the Xplore 6 is its triple 50-megapixel camera system. The primary sensor is the OmniVision OV50H (1/1.3-inch) with optical image stabilization (OIS). The main surprise is hidden in the periscope lens, which offers 3x optical zoom: a special attachable teleconverter (3.33x) transforms it into a full-fledged 10x optical zoom with an equivalent focal length of 230 mm. With additional digital zoom, it is possible to achieve up to 1600 mm magnification.

Teleconverter attachment

The camera interface includes an automatic transition mode when the lens, which attaches directly to the protective case, is installed.

Battery Life and Pricing

The smartphone is equipped with a massive 12,000mAh battery. It supports 120W fast wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

The device will launch on the European market in late September 2026. The price is set at €950 ($1,100). The package includes the teleconverter, a protective case, headphones, and a charging dock. The smartphone runs on Android 16 with a guarantee of three years of updates.
