Bigme B251 Pro became one of the first E Ink monitors with a frequency of 60 Hz
08.07.26
Bigme B251 Pro is an ambitious device for those who care about their vision during daily work with texts. it is the world’s first serial monitor that combines a large diagonal, a color matrix and a high refresh rate of 60 Hz.
60 Hz refresh rate magic
The key innovation of this model is optimization of the screen refresh rate up to 60 Hz. Usually, E Ink panels are characterized by low speed, creating loops, but Bigme managed to eliminate this drawback. This allows you to comfortably browse web pages and interact with content without the annoying “ghost effect”.

Display features and technologies
The monitor received a panel with a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels. The image density is 145 ppi, which is critical for the correct display of fonts. The use of E Ink technology, which works on reflected light, avoids the directional light characteristic of LCD monitors, reducing the strain on the eyes.

Color rendering: nuances of E Ink
Despite the color marking, the possibilities of the matrix are limited: the display of 4096 colors and 16 gradations of gray is supported. The color palette looks muted, reminiscent of high-quality printing in newspapers. This is an ideal solution for viewing Excel graphs or highlighting links, but the monitor is not designed for working with professional graphics.

Design features and ergonomics
The design of the monitor is made in a strict minimalist style with thin frames. The complete stand supports turning the screen into portrait mode, which is extremely convenient for reading code or large tabular data.

Price
The new 25.3-inch monitor based on E Ink was estimated at UAH 53,000 ($1,280), which makes it a niche solution for users who work in front of the monitor for up to 12 hours a day.
This device is a unique choice for programmers, editors and analysts. The investment in such a device is justified if the price can be compared with the importance of the health of your eyes during long hours of work in front of the monitor.
