20.07.26
ASUS has officially released the updated gaming laptop ROG Strix G18 (model 2026, G815) to the global market. The device received a modern hardware platform and significant display improvements aimed at gamers demanding image quality and computing power.
New improvements
The updated model is positioned as an advanced solution for enthusiasts. The key upgrade was the 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9290HX Plus processor. Unlike last year’s model, the novelty supports operation with a refresh rate of 300 Hz in Ultimate GPU mode, ensuring great smoothness of dynamic game scenes.

Features and screen
The main pride of the 2026 version is the Mini LED panel. It has a resolution of 1600p, a frequency of 240 Hz and about 2000 zones of local dimming. This allows you to reach a peak brightness of up to 1200 threads. The design of the case has undergone changes: special chamfers have been added for a more comfortable grip. The laptop weighs 3.2 kg and is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 90 W·h.
Main design features
- Full size numeric keypad.
- Mechanical touchpad.
- Individual RGB lighting for each key.

Prices and configurations
The cost varies depending on the graphics adapter and connection ports. The base model is equipped with an RTX 5060 and one Thunderbolt 4 port. The top versions offer Thunderbolt 5 and a more powerful graphics card.
Comparison of the cost of different modifications
| Version / Component | Price in Euro / Dollars |
| Base configuration (RTX 5060) | from 2,699 euros (2,855 USD / 118,700 UAH) |
| Version with RTX 5070 Ti | from 3,099 euros (3,278 USD / 136,300 UAH) / 3,299 USD (3,118 EUR / 137,100 UAH) |
| Top model (UK, RTX 5080) | 3,699 pounds (4,795 USD / 199,500 UAH) |
The ASUS ROG Strix G18 (2026) is an evolutionary step, offering a brighter Mini LED screen and an improved GPU refresh rate. Despite the slight increase in CPU performance, the hardware changes make it an actual choice for those who value stability in heavy graphics tasks and maximum image clarity.
