How a Ukrainian game will help children fall asleep: review of the “Mouse House” application
23.11.14Many parents know that young children are often capricious and do not want to go to bed at the appropriate time. Ukrainian studio Kidappers has developed a special application that will help kids go to bed faster. It’s called “The House of Mouse” and is available in Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, Spanish and Chinese. While the program is still in development (and is still free), but now the first part is ready and can be found in iTunes.< /span>
The plot of the game is simple. The little mouse goes to bed, but cannot fall asleep for a long time. He begins to remember what he did during the day and what prevents him from resting. This will be the baby’s task – to complete important tasks for the mouse. First, the hero wants to find his soft toy, then he remembers that he didn’t put the laces in his sneakers.
Also for a good sleep you need to count the lambs on the lawn. When you count them, they do funny things and disappear.
Each task comes with audio explanations, which ultimately form a coherent narrative – a kind of interactive fairy tale. The storyline is also followed in the game itself. For example, the final task of the first section (and apparently, there will be two more, but they are still in development) becomes available only after completing those discussed above. The mouse remembers that he accidentally broke his friend the hamster’s bicycle, but remorse prevents him from falling asleep.
And having completed the last task (reassembling the bicycle from scattered parts), the mouse falls asleep.
In general, the application is made very well. By the way, the previous product of a similar format from the studio Kidappers – the fairy tale “The Son of the Sun and Varan the Sorcerer” – hung for quite a long time in the top iTunes in many countries around the world and received positive feedback from users and the press. So “House of Mouse”, apparently, will be a very popular game among children and their parents.
