Acer Predator Helios 18 AI laptop: the power of an Arrow Lake processor, 96 GB of RAM and a Mini LED display

Acer continues to expand its line of gaming laptops by introducing the updated Predator Helios 18 AI model. The main upgrade of the device was the introduction of the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor from the Arrow Lake HX series, which promises an approximately 7% increase in performance compared to its predecessor, the Core Ultra 9 275HX.
Characteristics of Predator Helios 18 AI
In addition to the processor, the new product is equipped with a mobile video card Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. To maintain stable operation under load, 6th generation Predator AeroBlade 3D fans are used.
The laptop comes with a 400 W power supply. On the rear panel there is a port for connecting a power supply, HDMI 2.1 and two Thunderbolt 5 connectors.
Mini LED screen
Of particular note is the 18-inch display with Mini LED technology, which provides peak brightness of up to 1000 nits. Screen characteristics:
- Resolution: 3840 x 2400 pixels
- Refresh rate: 120 Hz
- Color gamut: 100% DCI-P3
Prices and options
The cost of the device depends on the region and memory configuration. In the US, the initial version with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD will cost $4,499. For the European market and the UK, a top-end build with 96 GB of RAM and a 2 TB drive is offered.
