Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen): a compact assistant that will breathe new life into your TV
01.04.26
Xiaomi is once again proving its strength in the budget home device segment. The new TV Stick HD (2nd generation) is a compact device that allows you to upgrade an older TV and access your favorite streaming services without having to replace the panel with a newer model.
Performance and hardware
The device is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor and a Mali-G31 MP2 graphics accelerator. According to the manufacturer, performance has increased by 38% compared to the previous model. While 1 GB of RAM in 2026 is considered the minimum for stable operation, it is sufficient for Full HD playback at 60 Hz.
Modern interface
The main innovation is the Google TV interface, which offers personalized recommendations, separate profiles for each family member, and smooth integration with the Google ecosystem. Support for the AV1 codec ensures higher video quality with limited internet speeds while reducing data usage compared to older formats.
Picture and sound
Despite being Full HD-oriented, the Xiaomi TV Stick HD supports HDR10+ for bright and contrast-rich images. The sound system is compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X. Even the built-in speakers of an older TV deliver improved audio, while connecting external speakers allows for full surround sound.
Compactness and control

Weighing just 44 g, the stick is perfect to take along on a trip or vacation, instantly turning any TV into an entertainment hub with access to Netflix, YouTube, and other services. The remote includes quick-launch buttons for popular apps and a built-in microphone for voice control via Google Assistant. Google Cast functionality is also available for streaming content from your mobile device.
