05.05.26

The gadget is aimed at those who are looking for a balance between premium materials, wide functionality and an affordable price.
Redmi Watch 6 review
The new generation of devices from the sub-brand Redmi has significantly increased the characteristics. The main focus was design and quality of execution: the body of the watch is made of light and strong aluminum alloy, which is rare for the budget segment. The global version is presented in two versions: the basic Watch 6 and the functional Watch 6 NFC, which allows contactless payment for purchases.
Technical characteristics and capabilities of the display

Both versions of the Redmi Watch 6 are equipped with an excellent AMOLED display with a diagonal of 2.07 inches. The resolution of the screen is 432 × 514 pixels, and the refresh rate of 60 Hz ensures a smooth interface. A feature of the model is a record peak brightness of up to 2000 threads, which allows you to read information without problems even under direct sunlight. The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the lighting to the ambient conditions.
- Display type: AMOLED, 2.07 inches;
- Brightness: up to 2000 threads;
- Body material: aluminum;
- Water resistance: 5 ATM;
- Wireless modules: Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC (in the corresponding version).
Differences and Available Versions
The main difference between the models is the presence of an NFC chip for contactless transactions through Mastercard and Visa systems. The color palette is also slightly different, with Obsidian Black and Silver Gray versions available for both variants, while the unique Glacier Blue can only be selected when purchasing the standard non-NFC model. The smart watch is equipped with thermoplastic polyurethane straps that fit wrists with a girth from 135 to 205 mm.
Features of functionality and autonomy

Redmi Watch 6 is a full-fledged assistant for sports and health. More than 150 sports modes, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, control of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and tracking of sleep phases are available to users. The presence of a microphone and speaker allows you to answer phone calls directly from the watch. The autonomy of the device is impressive: the battery with a capacity of 550 mAh provides up to 24 days of operation on a single charge with moderate use. The Always on Display (AOD) function is also implemented.
New release date
The global launch of Redmi Watch 6 has already taken place in May. The devices began to appear on the official websites of Xiaomi in various regions and are gradually arriving at retail chains of electronics stores around the world.
Price in Ukraine

For the Ukrainian market, the basic version of the Redmi Watch 6 is offered at a recommended retail price of 4,999 hryvnias (about 122 US dollars). Information about the exact dates of appearance and the cost of the version with NFC support for contactless payments will be provided later.
