Sony Reveals Four Free Games for PlayStation Plus in September 2026

Sony has officially announced the monthly game lineup for PlayStation Plus (Essential, Extra, and Premium) subscribers for September 2026. Players will gain access to four projects that will be available to add to their library starting September 1 and will remain available until October 5. While information regarding three of the games leaked online beforehand, one of the titles came as a surprise to gamers.

New Titles Coming to the PS Plus Library in September

The updated lineup spans a variety of genres, from military shooters to sports simulators and meditative indie projects.

Sniper Elite: Resistance

This tactical shooter transports players to occupied France during World War II. The game’s story complements the events of Sniper Elite 5. The project focuses on stealth mechanics, long-range marksmanship, and tactical combat. It features a single-player campaign, a co-op mode, the Axis Invasion system, and multiplayer for up to 16 participants. The game is available on PS4 and PS5.

MLB The Show 26

The latest installment of the popular baseball simulator for PlayStation 5. The primary focus is on the “Road To The Show” career mode, which has been expanded with the MLB Draft Combine stage and the integration of collegiate teams. The Diamond Dynasty mode also returns, allowing players to build dream teams from stars of different eras.

Wobbly Life

A vibrant open-world sandbox focused on exploration and cooperative play for up to 4 people (local or online co-op). The game world is packed with puzzles, mini-games, and hidden secrets. Players can explore mountains and caves, as well as try out the Arcade mode with disciplines like Hide & Seek, Trash Zone, and others. Available for PS4 and PS5.

Chained Echoes

An old-school 16-bit style JRPG for PS4 owners. The plot centers on the conflict between three kingdoms on the continent of Valandis. Players must engage in tactical battles using magic, cold steel, and giant mechs while exploring diverse locations, from flooded cities to mysterious dungeons.

A Quick Reminder

It is strongly recommended to claim the free games for August before they leave the catalog on August 31. These include: Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis.
