Xiaomi has unveiled the new Redmi Book 14 (2026) and Redmi Book 16 (2026). Both models share a unified platform, differing mainly in display size and weight, while maintaining a similar hardware configuration focused on balancing performance and portability.
Shared hardware platform with an efficiency focus
Both devices are powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H featuring 14 cores and 18 threads. The chip is designed for thin-and-light laptops, combining performance with relatively efficient power consumption.
Xiaomi claims the cooling system, equipped with dual fans and two heat pipes, enables the processor to run at up to 60W, ensuring stable performance under sustained workloads.
Memory, storage, and connectivity
Configurations include 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 7467 MT/s, alongside SSD storage ranging from 512GB to 1TB. The devices use PCIe 4.0 storage and also include an additional M.2 slot for expansion.
Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4, full-function USB-C, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack, making the laptops highly versatile for peripherals and external displays.
Displays and form factor differences

Redmi Book 14 (2026) features a 14-inch display with 2.8K resolution (2880×1800), up to 500 nits brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Redmi Book 16 (2026) comes with a 16-inch panel at 2.5K resolution (2560×1600), 400 nits brightness, and the same 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays are glossy and aimed at multimedia consumption and content work.
Battery life and charging
Both models are equipped with an 80Wh battery and ship with a 100W GaN USB-C charger, which can also be used to charge smartphones.
The Redmi Book 14 (2026) weighs about 1.49 kg, while the Redmi Book 16 (2026) weighs approximately 1.86 kg.
