Xiaomi Mijia Smart IH Rice Cooker P1: a smart rice cooker without unnecessary chemicals
02.04.26
Xiaomi continues to expand its home appliance lineup with the Mijia Smart IH Rice Cooker P1. The device is positioned not just as another kitchen gadget, but as a solution for cleaner and more convenient cooking. It is priced at around 1100 yuan (approximately $160).
The key focus is on materials: instead of traditional non-stick coatings containing fluorine, the cooker uses a 2.5 mm thick bowl with a titanium layer. This approach is designed to improve durability and reduce the risk of unwanted substances entering food during cooking.
Even heating and capacity
The 4-liter capacity is enough to serve a large family or group, producing up to 16 portions of rice at once. Thanks to induction heating technology, heat is distributed evenly across the entire bowl rather than just the bottom. This ensures consistent cooking without overcooked or undercooked areas.
Smart features and control
The rice cooker integrates into the smart home ecosystem via the Mijia app. Users can start cooking remotely, select modes for different types of grains, and access a built-in recipe library. This makes the device convenient even for those with limited cooking experience.
Design and usability

The design follows Xiaomi’s minimalist style: a clean white корпус blends easily into modern kitchens. A top-mounted LED display shows the cooking status and remaining time. While manual controls are available, most features are more convenient to use via a smartphone.
Part of a broader ecosystem
This rice cooker is part of Xiaomi’s broader strategy to build a unified smart home ecosystem. The company continues integrating appliances into a single platform, allowing users to manage devices centrally and automate everyday tasks.
