Redmi Note 17 Pro: 9000mAh battery and other key specifications officially confirmed

Xiaomi continues to stir up interest in the Redmi Note 17 line, the official presentation of which is scheduled for next week. The latest teasers from the manufacturer reveal details of the autonomy and display of the expected Redmi Note 17 Pro model.

Battery capacity and charging speed

The main revelation was the battery: the smartphone will have an incredible capacity of 9000 mAh. For such an impressive battery, support for wired charging with a power of 67 W is stated, as well as reverse charging with a power of 22.5 W.

Redmi has also placed an important emphasis on durability. Xiaomi is introducing the “First Sale Free Five-Year Battery Upgrade Guarantee” promotion, valid for purchases during the launch period:

• If during the first 4 years of use the battery capacity drops below 80%, the company will replace it with a new one free of charge.
• If the capacity drops below 80% in the fifth year, Xiaomi will upgrade by installing a higher capacity battery.

This is an ambitious statement, since in five years the manufacturer undertakes to install a more advanced battery that will fit into the current dimensions of the case.

The smartphone will be equipped with a flat display with a resolution of 1.5K. The peak brightness of the screen will be an impressive 3500 nits. A high level of device reliability will be ensured by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and certification according to the IP69K dust and water protection standard.

Expected hardware and cameras

According to preliminary data, the hardware platform of the smartphone will be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. A sensor with a resolution of 200 MP is expected to be installed as the main camera, which confirms the status of the “Pro” version in the line.
