The latest leaks from China reveal details of the upcoming Redmi Note 17 series of smartphones. Xiaomi plans to skip the 16 index and go straight to the 17th iteration, following the strategy previously applied in the flagship line.
What is known about Redmi Note 17
The base model of Redmi Note 17 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. The smartphone will have a flat display with a 1.5K resolution, a 50 MP main camera and an impressive 9,000 mAh battery. The manufacturer also promises water protection, but the exact IP rating has not yet been disclosed.
Characteristics of Redmi Note 17 Pro
The Redmi Note 17 Pro version will receive a more advanced hardware in the form of MediaTek Dimensity 7500. The model also has a flat 1.5K screen and water protection, but it stands out with a powerful photo unit with a 200 MP sensor and an increased battery of up to 10,000 mAh.
Release date and sales geography
The Redmi Note 17 is expected to be released in China in July. The Pro and Pro+ models could be released in late July or August. It is important to note that the specifications given are for the Chinese versions; Global variants may differ and will not go on sale until much later.
