Presentations Mercedes-Benz VLE – electric minivan with range of 500 km
16.03.26
The German automaker Mercedes-Benz showed the new electric minivan VLE. The model is insured to carry up to eight people and features technologies that are common in flagship sedans: multiple screens, massage chairs and modern digital control systems.
The minivan has a remarkably compact and neat design for its class: height – 1.925 m, width at least 2 m. The aerodynamic support coefficient should be set to 0.25, so that VLE is one of the largest effective changes to the market and a larger stock of movement. Several versions will be available in Europe, and the American market will have a longer wheelbase for maximum interior space.

Characteristics and technology

VLE is equipped with a lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt battery with a capacity of 115 kW per year. According to the European WLTP cycle, the range is over 700 km on a single charge, and according to the American EPA standards – over 500 km. Shvidka charging is implemented through an 800-volt system with a power of up to 315 kW: for 10 units you can add 248 km, for 15 units – 355 km.

Mercedes offers two versions of pressure:
- VLE 300 – front engine with 268 hp, acceleration up to 105 km/year, acceleration up to 100 km/year. km/year
- VLE 400 4Matic – two engines with all-wheel drive, 409 hp, 409 hp. The rear motor can be switched on to save energy.
The minivan has adjusted the air suspension with height adjustment of ±3.8 cm and the rear tires up to 7°, which shortens the turning radius to 10.9 m – like a compact hatchback.

The Mercedes-Benz VLE interior has up to three screens in front and a 31.3-inch 8K display in the rear, a 22-speaker audio system and proprietary intelligence with support for Google Maps. Grand Comfort chairs are equipped with massage, an electric footrest and can be adjusted via a program or touch screen. The doors and windows function like a regular car, creating the interior of a private aircraft on wheels.
Sales of Mercedes-Benz VLE are planned for 2026. In Germany, the basic VLE 300 costs around 79,000 euros, the VLE 400 version costs around 90,000 euros.
