Polaroid introduced Go Generation 3 – the most compact instant printing camera
04.06.26
The world market of analog photography continues to expand rapidly thanks to the growing trend of the aesthetics of the past years. In response to this request, the legendary brand presented a new generation compact device – Polaroid Go Generation 3, which is officially positioned as the world’s smallest analog instant print camera. This gadget offers maximum simplicity without digital screens, targeting the young audience of buzzers.
Compactness and concise design
The new generation of Polaroid Go Gen 3 logically continues the concept of the miniature camera Go 2, which entered the market in 2024. The manufacturer claims that the third-generation model has become even more ergonomic and compact, although detailed weight-size characteristics remain closed for now. The case is presented in five color solutions, focused on individual youth style.

Characteristics and peculiarities of creating analog pictures
A 100% offline experience is available to the user here. Instead of complex menus, manual adjustment of white balance and exposure correction, the new camera received an automatic system of settings:
- Frame format: Brand small-format Polaroid Go paper produces cards with dimensions of only 66.6 × 53.9 mm. They are about 4 times smaller than the original I-Type sheets.
- Selfie shooting: A special mirror on the front panel allows you to carefully frame the shot before pressing the shutter button.
- Additional options: An integrated self-timer makes it easy to take group group photos, and support for creative double exposure allows you to overlay two frames on top of each other to create surreal retro effects.
- A minimum of electronics: Fixed focus, automatic exposure and absolute independence from digital displays guarantee full focus at the moment of shooting.

Instant photo vs. smartphones: a new niche
The model predicts particular popularity among Zoomers (representatives of generation Z), who are tired of idealized photos from smartphones. The gadget is designed specifically for festivals, live performances by artists, vacation trips and meetings with friends, turning the usual offline into a real bright adventure.
At the same time, Polaroid is in a competitive struggle with the extremely popular representatives of the similar Instax Mini film line from the Fujifilm brand, which today is the leader in terms of sales among portable instant solutions.
Price of Polaroid Go Generation 3 and cost of cartridges
Sales of the Polaroid Go Gen 3 camera on the global market have already begun at a starting price of $90. Nevertheless, the key factor in the operation of such devices remains consumables.
The price of cartridges is still the most controversial issue of the device. One original double set of Polaroid Go film (includes only 16 frames) will cost users about $22. This is quite a significant cost compared to solutions from a direct competitor, where a standard Instax Mini paper cartridge for 20 photo cards costs about $21.
