OnePlus 15T: new compact flagship with record battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone — the OnePlus 15T, combining a compact design with high performance and a powerful battery. The device features the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a range of technologies aimed at users who prioritize speed and camera capabilities.

Compact design and bright display

The OnePlus 15T measures 150.5 millimeters in length, which is almost on par with other flagship models like the Galaxy S26. It comes with a 6.32-inch OLED display, offering a resolution of 2640 × 1216 pixels and a 165 Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Grystal Shield Glass, providing enhanced scratch resistance, and its peak brightness of 1800 nits ensures clear visibility even in bright sunlight.

Performance and battery life

The smartphone is powered by a 7500 mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless charging. Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip paired with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 T of internal storage. To maintain optimal performance, the device uses a 5150 mm² vapor chamber cooling system, which reduces overheating and allows sustained high-speed operation under heavy workloads.

Cameras and video capabilities

The OnePlus 15T features two 50 MP cameras. The main sensor measures 1/1.56 inches with an f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary telephoto lens provides 3.5x optical zoom and up to 7x digital zoom without loss of quality. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 16 MP.

The smartphone supports video recording in 8K at 30 fps, slow-motion recording in 4K at 120 fps, underwater shooting, and glare reduction features. The front camera is limited to 1080p video at 30 fps.

Connectivity and additional features

Other features include Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, NFC support, an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared transmitter, and water and dust resistance rated at IP69K.

Pricing and global release

In China, the OnePlus 15T starts at approximately $625 for the model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The top-tier version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 T of storage is priced at $825. The device’s international release remains uncertain, as rumors continue to circulate about a potential reduction of OnePlus’ presence outside China.
