MSI Pro Max Edge AI+ with Ryzen AI Max and 128GB RAM support

MSI introduced Pro Max Edge AI+ — an innovative desktop computer that proves that high power is possible in a compact format. The device with a volume of only 4 liters is positioned as an effective solution for tasks related to artificial intelligence, rendering and games.

Positioning

It is a full-featured workstation housed in a very compact body. MSI is aimed at users who need the performance of a powerful system unit, but are limited in free desktop space.

A key feature of the system is the combination of innovative processors with advanced memory and storage upgrade capabilities.

Technical characteristics

The system is based on the Strix Halo architecture – AMD Ryzen AI Max + 300 processors. This is a powerful solution with advanced integrated graphics, which can be compared with discrete video cards of the middle price segment.

The processor is equipped with a built-in neural module (NPU) optimized to accelerate neural network calculations, making the device a promising purchase for future AI tasks.

The system does not compromise on the performance of the memory subsystem:

  • Up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X standard RAM.
  • The operating speed of RAM reaches 8000 MT/s.
  • Using a 256-bit memory bus for maximum throughput.
  • Two M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe slots for organizing a high-speed disk array.

To remove heat from the components, MSI used a system with three heat pipes and three fans. The power supply unit of Flex ATX format is integrated into the case, which makes it impossible to have bulky external adapters.

Communication capabilities

The computer received an up-to-date set of ports and network interfaces:

  • AMD RZ717 Wireless Module: Wi-Fi 7.
  • Wired Ethernet: 2.5 Gbit/s.
  • USB4 (40 Gbit/s): two ports (front and rear).
  • Video outputs: HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a.
  • Slot for memory cards: UHS-II SD.

Thanks to the presence of USB4, users can connect not only high-speed external drives, but also external video cards, if there is a need to expand the graphics power.

MSI Pro Max Edge AI+ is one of the most balanced solutions for enthusiasts and professionals who value ergonomics. It is a direct response to modern Mac systems, which offers the user a powerful Windows platform in a body that does not take up extra space.
