Lenovo ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition: monoblock with an unusual square screen

Lenovo presented a new monoblock ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition, which radically changes the usual approach to organizing the workspace. In the era of ultra-wide displays, the company is betting on the vertical orientation of content, offering a form factor that is ideal for working with tables, code and long text documents.

Features of the ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition display

The central element of the device is a unique 27.6-inch IPS display with a non-standard aspect ratio of 16:18. In fact, it is practically a square screen with a resolution of 2560 x 2880 pixels. The manufacturer notes that the area of the working field corresponds to two sheets of A4 format, located one above the other.

The screen supports a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and the brightness level is 300 nits. Color coverage reaches 98% of the DCI-P3 space, which makes it suitable not only for working with text, but also for initial color correction.

Hardware equipment and capabilities of the Aura series

The monoblock is part of the Aura Edition line, developed together with Intel for deep integration of AI functions. The base platform uses an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512 GB SSD.  More productive configurations can be equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 368H processor and integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics.

A nice feature was the possibility of modernizing the storage. The device supports PCIe Gen5 SSD installation up to 2 TB and has a free M.2 2280 slot. Smart Modes technology automates privacy, notification and energy efficiency settings based on user behavior.

Price

Lenovo ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition is aimed at professionals who value the convenience of vertical data viewing. The initial cost of the model is 2,300 USD (103,300 UAH). Given the narrow specialization of the screen, this is a niche, but very effective solution for productive tasks.
