Lenovo Legion P5 10000: a miniature power bank with the power of a laptop charger

Lenovo Legion P5

The Lenovo brand has expanded its gaming line with a new portable accessory, introducing the Lenovo Legion P5 10000. This is an external battery that is designed specifically for active users and gamers who need fast charging for laptops and smartphones when there is no access.

Lenovo Legion P5 10000 is a compact energy solution for charging equipment “on the go”. The main focus is on owners of Legion laptops, but the device is absolutely universal. Its main feature was an incredible output power of 100 W for such a volume. In fact, this “baby” can supply laptops with energy at the same speed as their standard, often powerful network power supplies.

Technical specifications

Battery capacity is 10,000 mAh. Although this is not enough for several full charging cycles of a powerful gaming laptop, this capacity is enough to use it as a reliable “lifeline” to complete a gaming session or a work project. For smartphones, the energy reserve is enough for 1.5–2 full charges, depending on the model.

Key parameters:

  • Capacity: 10,000 mAh;
  • Maximum power: 100 W;
  • Connections: Built-in USB-C cable, 1x USB-C port, 1x USB-A port;
  • Number of simultaneously charging devices: up to 3;
  • Fast charging protocols: Apple, Huawei and proprietary Lenovo standards.

Operation features

Lenovo Legion P5

Lenovo engineers paid attention to ease of use. The main convenience of the Legion P5 10000 is the built-in USB-C cable that hides right in the case. This eliminates the need for the user to carry additional wires. In addition to the built-in solution, the case has ports for simultaneous charging of three devices. However, it is worth remembering that when connecting several gadgets, the power of 100 W will be distributed between all connectors.

Release date and price

The official start of sales of the external battery is scheduled for May 19. The device has already appeared on the large trading platform JD.com, where all the details about its specifications and design were revealed.

Price positioning became one of the main surprises. At the start of sales, the price is 169 yuan, approximately 1000 hryvnias ($25). This is a very competitive price, considering that analogues with 100 W charging support usually cost significantly more or have large dimensions.
