Lenovo has announced the imminent release of the Legion C700 portable console, which is aimed exclusively at streaming games from the cloud or local devices. Official details about the gadget will be revealed in August, but the key technical parameters of the new product are already known.

The Legion C700 is a dedicated portable gaming client. Unlike the popular Legion Go series, this console doesn’t try to run games on its own. All major computing tasks are handled by the host PC or cloud server. This decision allowed engineers to rid the console of powerful (and hot) components, emphasizing lightness and high energy efficiency.

The device stands out with an impressive signal transmission delay of only 10 ms. This result was recorded under laboratory conditions when paired with a Legion Y9000P laptop (equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060) at 1080p resolution at 120Hz. To realize this speed, Lenovo has developed special PC software and a unique streaming protocol.
