iGPU performance breakthrough: Intel Panther Lake now uses 93% of RAM
03.07.26
Intel has released driver update version 32.0.101.8804 for Intel Arc Pro graphics cards and integrated graphics cores. The main focus of the update is on improving dynamic memory allocation for Intel Arc Pro B370 and Intel Arc Pro B390 chips.
What has changed in working with memory
The new update allows you to significantly expand the capabilities of the video subsystem. If previously the resource allocation limit was 87% of the total amount of RAM, now this figure has reached 93%. For a system with 64 GB of RAM, this means the ability to allocate up to 59.5 GB for integrated graphics (iGPU) needs.
The process of memory allocation between system needs and the video core occurs automatically and dynamically, which provides high flexibility compared to competitors like AMD Ryzen Strix Halo, where the user is limited to manually dividing memory into two strictly fixed pools.
Performance and features
Optimizations in the new driver lead to real increases in power in professional applications. Intel sees a 15% performance boost for the Intel Arc Pro B390 in Blender and a 5% performance boost for previous generation iGPU models.

Panther Lake restrictions
Despite the high availability of memory, bandwidth remains an important factor. The LPDDR5X-8533 system memory used by the Panther Lake architecture reaches speeds of 68.26 GB/s. By comparison, the memory bandwidth of dedicated graphics cards or Apple solutions is significantly higher:
- Apple M5 Max: 614 GB/s
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU: 384 GB/s
Thus, for tasks where memory speed is critical, Intel’s embedded solutions are still inferior to discrete GPUs.
Is Panther Lake worth using?
Updating to version 32.0.101.8804 is a mandatory step for owners of systems with Intel Panther Lake using workstations. The technology makes integrated graphics more efficient, allowing almost all of the system RAM to be dedicated to graphics-intensive computing, while maintaining the convenience of automatic resource allocation by the system.
