Google Pixel Watch 5: design, specifications and price

Google is actively preparing for the presentation of new gadgets, including the next line of branded smart watches — Pixel Watch 5.

Pixel Watch 5 design

The new generation of the watch will retain the familiar look of its predecessor: the case remains round, and the display is dome-shaped. This conservative approach to design could be an advantage for owners of the previous model: all existing bands are expected to remain fully compatible with the Pixel Watch 5.

Technical characteristics and body colors

The watch will offer users four color solutions:

• Dark anthracite (black);
• Natural silver (silver);
• Pyrite (olive);
• Warm gold (orange).

The Pixel Watch 5 is currently confirmed to be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. It is also expected to have improved batteries and the installation of a new branded Tensor chip to improve performance. The device will run on the Wear OS 7 operating system.

Release date and price

According to available data, the starting price for the base model will be $399, which is $50 higher than the starting price of the Pixel Watch 4. Buyers will be able to choose a Wi-Fi-only version or a more functional version with LTE support. The price for the top configuration at the start of sales will reach $529 (about UAH 21,850).

The official presentation of Google Pixel Watch 5 is scheduled for August 12. The watch will be launched simultaneously with the Pixel 11 series of smartphones.
