Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will receive two stages of testing already in August

The Activision company officially announced the testing schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and also confirmed the date of the annual Call of Duty NEXT presentation, where the developers for the first time detailed

The event will be held on August 21. In addition to showcasing the gameplay and new features of the multiplayer mode, members of the press, bloggers and invited content creators will be the first to experience the game. We will remind that the events of the new Modern Warfare will unfold against the background of the armed conflict on the Korean Peninsula.

Closed and Open Beta

Immediately after the end of the presentation, the first stage of testing starts.

The closed beta will take place from August 21 to August 25. Users who have pre-ordered the game on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S will have access to it.

After that, the developers will open access to everyone. The open beta will run from August 28th to September 1st and will not require you to purchase the game. Moreover, for the first time, owners of Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to participate, for which Modern Warfare 4 will also be released.

Test version

During the beta test, players will be introduced to key elements of the multiplayer mode.

The test build will include new operatives, 19 types of weapons, compact 3-on-3 battles, large-scale combat operations using military equipment, and several game modes.

In addition to the classic Search & Destroy, the developers have prepared a completely new Kill Block mode, as well as Training Mobility Course – a training obstacle course designed to master the updated movement system.

Release date

The full release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for October 23. The game will be released on PC (Steam, Battle.net and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Pre-orders are now open. Activision has confirmed again that the novelty will not appear in the Game Pass catalog before December 2027.
