ASUS expands the line of Republic of Gamers (ROG) gaming solutions by releasing the XG34WCDMS monitor.

The novelty combines a curved design and advanced Tandem QD-OLED technology. After previous announcements at exhibitions, the device officially went on sale, confirming all its characteristics.

Technical characteristics and capabilities of the display

The base of the device is a 34-inch curved panel with a radius of curvature of 800R. Key screen specifications include:

  • Resolution: UWQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels).
  • Aspect ratio: 21:9.
  • Refresh rate: 280 Hz.
  • Response time: 0.03ms (GtG).

Tandem QD-OLED technology, also called “double-layer OLED”, allows you to reach a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits (at 3% APL in HDR mode). In addition, it increases the longevity of the panel: ASUS claims that the risk of burn-in is reduced by 50% compared to conventional OLED matrices. DCI-P3 color coverage at the level of 99% and Delta E transmission rate < 2 are responsible for the accurate transmission of shades.

Hardware and additional interfaces

For users who use multiple devices at the same time, the monitor offers a connectivity ecosystem:

  • USB Type-C connector: supports power supply up to 90 W, which is convenient for charging gaming laptops.
  • Built-in KVM switch: allows you to switch between two system units, controlling them through a single mouse-keyboard pair.
  • Video connectors: full support for DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports.
  • Additional mounting: the upper part of the rack provides a connector for a tripod for a webcam or studio light.

The custom cooling system and ASUS OLED Care technology are responsible for preserving the matrix during long-term loads.

Device price

On the European market, the price of the monitor is €920, which is equivalent to approximately 40,400 hryvnias ($1,000) in the national currency.

Thanks to the high frequency of 280 Hz, unique resistance to burn-in and wide possibilities for connecting peripherals, this monitor will be a great tool for both competitive gaming and productive work. This is a modern solution that combines aesthetics and functional reliability.
