There is not much time left before the release of Assassin Creed Black Flag Resynced, and the developers are increasingly sharing materials for the updated version of the cult game about pirates. This time, an extended gameplay video showing one of Havana’s key locations has appeared online.
IGN showed a detailed walk through the updated Havana
A new trailer was published by IGN, and it is completely devoted to the exploration of Havana – one of the most densely populated and significant cities in the world of the game.
In the original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013), the city was already distinguished by a rich atmosphere, dense architecture and the feeling of a “living” colonial settlement. However, in the Resynced version, the visual and technical component is significantly enhanced thanks to the modern engine and the capabilities of the current iron.
What changed in the remake: the world became deeper and more alive
The developers have redesigned the urban environment, making it larger and more realistic. In the updated version, the range of drawing has been increased, textures and lighting have been improved, and the population density of the streets has increased significantly.
The main character Edward Kenway received an expanded set of animations: movements became faster and more plastic, new acrobatic elements were added. Weather effects now have a stronger impact on the perception of the world, and NPC behavior has become more varied and believable.
Additional depth is also added by the redesigned city simulation – Havana feels more dynamic and “alive” than in the original game, with constant crowd movement and environmental activity.
Black Flag Updated: Not Just Graphics
Previously, the developers already reported that the remake includes not only visual improvements. In Black Flag Resynced, the combat system has been completely redesigned, the set of equipment has been expanded, and new tasks, characters and story elements have been added.
Thus, the project seeks not just to update the classic game, but to adapt it to modern standards of open worlds and storytelling.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be released on July 9 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
