Age After Age: a demo of a new Ukrainian strategy on the development of civilizations has become available on Steam

Age After Age

Ukrainian studio Farom Studio has released a demo of its large-scale city-building strategy Age After Age on Steam, accompanying the release with a new story trailer. The project is already attracting attention as one of the most complex Ukrainian strategies, which bets on the systematic development of civilization and the change of historical eras.

Urban planning strategy with the evolution of civilization

Age After Age

Age After Age is not just a city building simulator, but a multi-level strategic system in which the player controls the development of society during different historical eras. The key mechanism is the transition between eras, which opens alternative ways of development of the state and affects the structure of the economy, technologies and social model.

The game combines several strategic layers at once: the construction and development of settlements, complex logistics of resources, research tree, government system and political decisions. In addition, the gameplay is affected by dynamic changes in weather conditions, which creates additional challenges for the economy and infrastructure.

Demo version as a fragment of a full-fledged system

Age After Age

In the Steam demo, players are invited to manage a small settlement within one of the eras. It’s essentially a “vertical slice” of the upcoming full version, showing how the game’s key systems—the economy, construction, logistics, science, and social mechanics—interact.

This format allows you to assess the depth of the simulation and the complexity of the relationships between various aspects of the state’s development even before the release.

Release and platforms

The full version of Age After Age is planned for the IV quarter of 2026. The game will be released on PC (Windows), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Ukrainian language support will be added closer to the release.
