Acer Nitro XV273U F5: a 1000Hz eSports monster
03.07.26
Acer introduced the Nitro XV273U F5 monitor, which sets a new, almost unthinkable record of 1000 Hz. This device goes beyond the usual notions of gaming, focusing on the needs of professional gamers.
The novelty is Acer’s answer to the demands of the eSports community, where the smoothness of movements exceeds the detail of the picture. However, it is worth considering the technical compromise: the 1000 Hz mode is only available when the resolution is reduced to 1280×720 pixels. This produces a pixel density of 54 PPI, which is equivalent to the old kinescope displays. It is unlikely that you will want to use this mode every day, but for competitive shooters, where the speed of reaction is important, this is an extreme advantage.
Screen features and capabilities

For everyday tasks and high-quality gaming, the monitor works in full resolution 1440p (QHD) with a refresh rate of 540 Hz. The pixel density here is 109 PPI. The basis of the device is a fast IPS matrix with a response time of 1 ms (GtG). Color quality is at a high level: 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 space is claimed, and the peak brightness in HDR mode reaches 600 cd/sq.m.
Technical nuances and comparisons

In addition to the refresh rate, the device supports FreeSync Premium technology to combat frame breaks. Despite the innovative speed, the product remains a narrower solution. If deep black color and visual beauty of the picture are more important to you, solutions on QD-OLED panels can be an alternative, for example, the ROG Strix 34” series, which offers 280 Hz.
Release date and price

Acer Nitro XV273U F5 sales are scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. The recommended cost of the model is $700 (31,500 UAH).
The monitor is a tool for a narrow audience of professional eSports players who are willing to sacrifice clarity for a fraction of a second advantage. For ordinary gamers who value resolution and the overall picture, these indicators may be excessive or uncomfortable.
