Vivo X300 Ultra is ready to impress with a dual 200-megapixel camera

Vivo is preparing to unveil its new flagship, the X300 Ultra, which stands out for its unconventional approach to mobile photography. The device will feature two 200MP sensors, giving the smartphone unique capabilities in today’s market.

The manufacturer has not yet revealed the full technical specifications, but images of the phone and its accessories have already been released. These provide an early look at the design and potential use cases for both photography and video.

Main Cameras and Capabilities

The primary camera of the X300 Ultra uses a 200MP sensor with a 35mm-equivalent focal length lens, differing from the usual wide-angle 23–24mm setups. The optical layout follows a 1G+6P scheme, with CIPA 6.5 stabilization and an extended dynamic range technology, delivering highly detailed shots even in challenging lighting conditions.

The ultra-wide module features a 50MP LYT818 sensor, 1/1.28” in size, with a 14mm focal length and an F2.0 aperture. It supports OIS stabilization rated at CIPA 6.0 and third-generation VCS technology, enabling smoother footage even during motion.

The telephoto module is equipped with a 200MP HP0 sensor, 1/1.4” in size, a lens with an 85mm focal length, and an F2.67 aperture. Stabilization reaches CIPA 7.0, ensuring precise shots in conditions where minimal shake is critical.

Accessories for Advanced Photography

Vivo X300 Ultra will offer a range of accessories to enhance the camera’s functionality. These include Zeiss zoom lenses with a 200–400mm range, a photo grip with a shutter button for handheld shooting, a video rig for microphone and lighting support, and a comprehensive Photography Kit that combines all these tools in one package.

Technical Platform and Release Date

The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The X300 Ultra is scheduled for release on March 30, 2026. Industry experts are already assessing how the combination of powerful sensors and accessories compares to professional cameras.
