Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip: lightweight clip-on headphones with autonomy of up to 36 hours

German audio giant Sennheiser has officially announced its new Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip wireless headphones. The novelty received an ergonomic open body in the form factor of a clip. This innovative design is designed specifically for those who lead an active lifestyle: the headphones allow you to enjoy music or talk on the phone and at the same time hear everything that is happening around you, increasing your safety in urban environments.

The model is positioned as a light and inconspicuous open-type audio accessory. The body of the devices is made in the form of a sophisticated clip that is fixed on the cartilage of the auricle. The design does not block the ear canal at all, guaranteeing the absence of ear canal fatigue even during the whole day. The comfort of wearing is ensured by ultra-light weight – one earpiece weighs a modest 6.8 grams.

Technical specifications

Sennheiser ACCENT

Even taking into account the open layout, Sennheiser developers equipped the headphones with advanced acoustic components:

  • Acoustics: high-quality 12 mm dynamic radiators provide rich, detailed sound throughout the range.
  • Connection interface: support for Bluetooth interface of the latest version 6.0.
  • Integration with smartphones: Google Fast Pair technology provides lightning-fast initial pairing with all Android devices.
  • A wide range of codecs: the headphones support default AAC, SBC, as well as the flagship high-quality audio codec LDAC for lossless audio streaming.
  • Individual tuning: users can adjust the audio profile for themselves in the built-in Smart Control Plus software package with a professional 5-band graphic equalizer.
  • Physical resistance: ACCENTUM Clip’s internal electronics are IP54 certified, providing a high level of protection against sweat, water splashes and street dust.

Autonomy and power mode

The novelty shows significant energy savings: the wireless accessory broadcasts music content in a continuous autonomous cycle for 9 hours. The presence of a protective dock case proves the maximum resource of listening to tracks up to 36 hours on one general charge. The gadget also has support for the extreme express charging mode: after spending only 10 minutes, the user will restore the headphones’ resource for another full 2 hours of operation.

Release date and price

Sennheiser

The sale of the announced Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip will officially start on July 23 in Canada. In the future, headphones will appear on the markets of Central and South America, in European countries and a number of other strategic regions. It is interesting that the brand left the American region without a premiere release. This can be directly related to structural transformations in the customs and trade vector of the United States.

At the moment, the novelty is estimated by the developer at a retail value of CA$270 (which is equivalent to about $190 at the exchange rate).

If ergonomic barrier-free sound is critically important to you, these clips definitely deserve your attention. The advantages of the model include a prestigious brand, support for the latest Bluetooth 6.0 audio protocol and the premium LDAC codec, outstanding indicators of daily operation, IP54 protection against adverse weather and overloads during morning sports training.
