Samsung has launched the Certified Re-Newed program in India

Official sale of refurbished Samsung Galaxy S25 has become available in one of the largest mobile markets in the world. The company scaled the Certified Re-Newed program to India, offering users a reliable alternative to the used device market. Previously, the service was successfully tested in the USA and Europe, confirming the demand for factory-certified flagships.

 Samsung Certified Re-Newed: what it is and how it works

Buying a second-hand smartphone is often associated with risks: from worn batteries to non-original components. The Certified Re-Newed initiative turns buying a used device into a civilized process. Samsung takes old smartphones and brings them back to life at its facilities. This is not just a cosmetic cleaning – each device goes through a complete recovery cycle.

Samsung engineers carry out in-depth diagnostics, cleaning and, if necessary, replacement of faulty components. The peculiarity of the approach is the use of only original spare parts. This ensures that the flagship will retain all its qualities – from moisture protection to processor speed.

Technical characteristics and recovery features

Devices sold as part of Certified Re-Newed are as close as possible to new smartphones in terms of quality. The main stages of recovery include:

  • Full inspection of the technical condition by plant engineers.
  • Use of certified test equipment.
  • Installing only original Samsung components.
  • Update the software to the current version of Android.

Smartphones are delivered completely unlocked, without binding to specific operators, and are accompanied by a full official one-year warranty. This provides users with peace of mind that is not available when buying aftermarket.

In addition to the smartphone itself, the buyer receives a branded Certified Re-Newed box. The package includes a new cable, a tool for removing the SIM card and an instruction manual. This creates a complete feeling of purchasing a new device.

Such an approach is beneficial both economically and environmentally. Samsung extends the life cycle of gadgets, reducing the amount of electronic waste. At the same time, the company maintains a loyal audience within its ecosystem by providing quality service.

Price and Availability

At the start of the program in India, an up-to-date range of flagships and mid-range devices is presented. This allows you to purchase top “iron” at the price of mid-budget models:

  • Galaxy S25 Ultra (256 GB) – UAH 44,000 ($1,072);
