CMF Clip Pro: Focusing on comfort, open design, and long battery life

Nothing continues to expand the portfolio of its sub-brand, CMF, which focuses on the accessible price segment. The brand has officially entered the open-ear wireless earbuds market with the new CMF Clip Pro. The device features a design that keeps the ear canal clear, Hi-Res Audio support, a suite of voice-enhancement technologies, and extended battery life.

A New Form Factor for the CMF Lineup

Unlike most of the brand’s previous models, the Clip Pro adopts an open-ear form factor. These earbuds do not sit deep inside the ear canal but are secured on the outside, allowing users to listen to music while remaining aware of their surroundings.

According to the manufacturer, this makes the device ideal for everyday use. The earbuds are aimed at users who spend a lot of time in urban environments, commuting via public transport, working in an office, or exercising outdoors where situational awareness is key.

To improve comfort during extended wear, engineers developed a new three-point support system. This design distributes pressure across different areas of the ear, making the load feel less noticeable even after several hours of use.

Focus on Audio Quality

Despite the open-ear design, which is traditionally considered more difficult for delivering rich sound, the manufacturer has equipped the Clip Pro with 10.8mm dynamic drivers featuring a dual-magnet system.

The company claims this setup provides more expressive low frequencies, clear vocals, and detailed high-frequency performance. To compensate for the open-shell design, the proprietary Ultra Bass technology is used, which analyzes content in real-time to boost bass while adjusting other frequencies for a more balanced audio profile.

The earbuds carry Hi-Res Audio certification and support LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs. This allows users of compatible Android smartphones to stream audio at a higher bitrate, while devices from other manufacturers can utilize standard audio formats.

Enhanced Voice Clarity

One of the key features of the model is its voice processing system designed for clear calls.

Each earbud is equipped with high-definition microphones, totaling four mics for the set. Together with a Voice Processor Unit (VPU), the Clear Voice technology analyzes surrounding sounds, isolates the user’s voice, and reduces background noise that might interfere with conversations.

Additionally, the Clip Pro incorporates Sound Seal technology. This feature is intended not for noise cancellation, but for reducing sound leakage. Algorithms manage the reproduction of mid and high frequencies so that it is harder for people nearby to hear the user’s music or conversation, which is especially relevant in public spaces.

Over 30 Hours of Total Battery Life

According to the specifications, the earbuds themselves last for about ten hours of continuous playback on a single charge.

When using the included charging case, total runtime extends to 32.5 hours. Fast charging is also included: after ten minutes of charging, the device provides about four hours of additional playback.

Pricing and Availability

The device is priced at $99 or £79. The model will roll out in stages: customers in the US, UK, and Japan can purchase the new product starting August 15, while the European launch is scheduled for September 15. The device will be available in three color variants: orange, white, and dark gray.
