Logitech Mobi Fold: a folding mouse of the new generation for work on the road and business trips

Logitech has officially introduced its first folding portable mouse called Mobi Fold. The new compact device is designed for professionals who work on the go, has a unique complex design in the style of Microsoft Surface Arc and is equipped with an intelligent system to prevent accidental presses.

According to a global Logitech study, although 72% of professionals actively use mice at home and in the office, only 26% use this device for work in public places or while traveling. As the main obstacle, people cite the inconvenience and bulkiness of the usual controllers: standard accessories are difficult to carry in backpacks, and they do not fit in the pockets of clothes. The new Mobi Fold model was created as a direct solution to this urgent problem.

Features of the complex body and ergonomics

The portable wireless mouse has quite small dimensions: its height is 33 mm, width – 57 mm, and depth – 122 mm. The weight of the device is only 79 grams. The main technological solution of Mobi Fold is an original complex mechanism. With a light movement, the design goes into working mode, and when the reverse flat power is added, the power is automatically turned off, guaranteeing the maximum preservation of the battery energy level.

For better stability and preservation of a presentable appearance, the manipulator is protected by a moisture- and dustproof silicone cover with a reliable built-in metal hinge that protects the device during daily use.

Smart features

The key technological innovation of the model was the local micromodel of artificial intelligence. It is designed to recognize the movements of the user’s fingers in the process of assembling the device and prevents accidental pressing of the mouse buttons.

Another important factor for long-distance business trips is the autonomy of the gadget. The speed of its recharging is impressive: just 1 minute on the cable gives up to 22 hours of device operation. On one full charge of the battery, the model can work stably for up to 30 calendar days.

Logitech Mobi Fold became the world’s first compact mouse to successfully receive official Google Fast Pair certification, which guarantees instant pairing with ecosystem devices. The device easily communicates simultaneously with three different hardware points and supports instant seamless switching between Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS and Linux platforms via a wireless Bluetooth channel.

Consumer version

The home and basic version of the device is offered in stylish shades of Graphite, Lilac and Off White. Retail price is $79 / €79 / £69 depending on your geographic region.

Corporate version

A special business modification for the corporate sector — Mobi Fold for Business — is presented separately at a recommended retail price of $89 / €84 / £74. This modification extends the functionality of the device and provides the following privileges:
