Huawei Nova 15 Max received an 8500 mAh battery and a screen with a brightness of 4000 nits

Huawei continues to expand its line of mid-range devices and presented the Huawei Nova 15 Max smartphone during a presentation in Bangkok. The novelty bets on autonomy, a large display and a set of functions that were previously more common in more expensive models of the brand.

Emphasis on autonomy and fast charging

The main feature of the Huawei Nova 15 Max is the battery with a capacity of 8500 mAh. For today’s smartphone market, this is one of the largest batteries among mid-range devices. The manufacturer claims to have used a new energy management system and the so-called “energy pump” technology, thanks to which the efficiency of the charge consumption exceeds 98%.

The smartphone supports Huawei SuperCharge fast charging with a capacity of 40 W. In addition, the device can be used as an external battery for other gadgets thanks to the reverse charging function. This approach is especially relevant for users who actively use a smartphone while traveling, playing games, or working for a long time without access to an outlet.

Large OLED display and reinforced body

Huawei Nova 15 Max received a 6.84-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2756 × 1272 pixels. The refresh rate is 120 Hz, and the peak brightness reaches 4000 nits, which should ensure comfortable readability even under direct sunlight.

The smartphone case is made using a reinforced aluminum frame. The manufacturer also reports the presence of a five-star SGS certificate, which confirms the increased resistance of the device to falls and shocks. On the side, there is a programmable X button, which can be used to quickly launch applications or functions, including the camera, flashlight and calculator.

Branded processor and basic set of cameras

The device is powered by the company’s Kirin 8000 chipset. In the international market, the smartphone runs EMUI 14.2, while the Chinese version comes with HarmonyOS 6.0.

Externally, the model is designed in the style of Huawei flagship devices – with a large round camera module on the back panel. At the same time, the set of cameras itself remains quite modest by modern standards. The main sensor has a resolution of 50 MP, an additional 2-megapixel depth sensor is installed. The front camera received an 8 MP module.

Stereo, Wi-Fi 7 and preparation for global launch

The smartphone is equipped with symmetrical stereo speakers with an extended sound field. Support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and an infrared port for controlling household appliances is also announced.

Huawei has already confirmed the international launch of the Nova 15 Max, but the exact dates of the device’s appearance in various markets and the official price have not yet been revealed. According to preliminary estimates, the price of the smartphone may be in the range from 450 to 500 dollars.
