Google Revolutionizes Browsing: Chrome's AI Mode Now Features Side-by-Side View

Google continues its relentless pace of innovation with the latest enhancement to Chrome’s AI Mode, arriving shortly after the introduction of personalized visuals in Gemini. The search powerhouse has revealed a streamlined interaction model designed to improve how users engage with AI-generated content.

When users interact with links provided within the AI chat, these pages now load side-by-side with the dialogue in the active tab. This approach eliminates the constant switching between various windows, significantly reducing clutter and simplifying the overall navigation process.

This layout is particularly effective for multi-step inquiries. For instance, a user looking for a coffee maker can review specific product links while keeping the AI interface open for immediate follow-up questions. It maintains the user’s concentration without interrupting their session.

The ability to consult web pages and the AI interface simultaneously proved crucial for staying productive. Furthermore, a fresh ‘plus’ menu has been integrated into the Chrome search box for both desktop and mobile platforms, allowing users to combine existing tabs, images, or documents like PDFs into their AI searches.

While these tools promise to boost productivity, they are currently restricted to the latest Chrome build within the United States. Global users will have to wait a bit longer, as the company plans to broaden access to international markets in the near future.
