CD Projekt has released arcade games featuring motorcycle racing from Cyberpunk 2077
24.03.26
CD Projekt RED continues to develop the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise in related formats. In addition to tabletop projects and the recently announced Cyberpunk: Trading Card Game, the studio unveiled a new experimental product.
We’re talking about the arcade racing game Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush, which is being developed in collaboration with UNIS Technology. The project is aimed at arcades, not home platforms.
Arcade racing with action elements
Judging by the first trailer, the game is inspired by the classic Road Rash project from Electronic Arts. The gameplay revolves around motorcycle racing with the ability to attack opponents with melee weapons and firearms.
The action takes place on the streets of Night City and its surroundings, with visual assets from the original Cyberpunk 2077 used. The project is likely based on the same RED Engine.
The key feature of Chrome Rush is its format. The game is being developed exclusively for arcade cabinets with support for two players. The seats are styled like motorcycles, similar to the classic Hang-On ride from Sega.
The game’s release date in shopping malls and entertainment areas has not yet been announced.
